  • Penalty Group 2: Ecstasy, PCP, Mescaline, Marinol, MDMA fall into this category, as does Hashish and forms of cannabis with resinous or extracted THC. Such drugs can carry a two year jail sentence for possessing less than one gram and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment with fines of up to $50,000 for 400 grams or more.
  • Penalty Group 3: Valium, Xanex, Ritalin, Hydrocodone (less than 300 mg.), and other common prescription drugs fall into this category. You could receive a maximum sentence for any amount over 200 grams and 20 years in prison along with a $10,000 fine.
  • Penalty Group 4: Compounds containing limited amounts of narcotics that include nonnarcotic active medicinal ingredients: e.g., codeine, morphine, difenoxin, Buprenorphine or Butorphanol, pyloverone.
